This book is a photographic research work that explores the materiality of the image through the use and manipulation of the archive. Through overlaps, cuts, absences and abstractions; the images taken from other books (randomly) take on new meanings and propose a new story. The book's title derives from Peter Handke's essay: Versuch über den Stillen Ort (Essay on the Quiet Place). This project won the Photobook UY Award 2019 granted by the Montevideo Photography Center (CDF). The award jury was made up of Walter Costa (BR), Alicia Caldera (VE) and Alvaro Zinno (UY).
